Mayorkun was a chorister in his church, He loves and played the piano in church, He was very good at it that he uses the piano to play song that was trending at that moment.
He played a song that went viral on Twitter which drew davido’s attention to the young superstar.
At that time Davido launched his record label called Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), and was searching for upcoming talent to invest on and he sent a message across Mayorkun and asked him if he can do more than playing the piano.
Mayorkun told him that he can sing but was never given the floor to show his talent.
Davido tested him and they linked up in a studio and Mayorkun did a freestyle that made davido to be interested in him.
They both signed a deal and mayorkun was welcomed to the DMW.
